From the realms of “you can’t make this stuff up”, which I now feel compelled to make a new category on this site, comes the ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. As I read Mike Adams take on this upon waking, I did some more research. Lo and behold, the CDC actually has numerous social media buttons that you can utilize for your FB account, twitter, blog, etc. with a gorgeous zombie face peeking over a wall. The CDC blog entry has no actual point to it, other than to say, when referring to how to prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse that, “Well, we’re here to answer that question for you, and hopefully share a few tips about preparing for real emergencies too!”
This just goes to prove my point that we are beginning the descent into the intellectual realms of zombies. Is this the only angle that will get us to react or respond? Wasn’t Sesame Street’s Grover packing his Go Bag for Operation Shake-Out enough? GMO’s, pesticides, radiation, vaccines, propaganda, cradle to grave psychiatric drugging, television, the constant barrage of subliminal “do not resist” messaging, all contributing to the impending threat. So just exactly who is the CDC trying to warn? Won’t we all just be zombies, joining decaying zombie hands and singing kumbaya?
Maybe it’s an attempt to get us to wake up? An appeal to anyone who is still awake and aware? A joke? Or, sadly, is that the only way to garner a response these days, to go at it from the zombie angle, because that’s who we are and can relate? Or does it reach into our darkest fears and anxieties that we’ve been programmed for? Night of the Living Dead ( selected by the Library of Congress to be preserved in The National Film Registry due to it’s cultural, aesthetic, and/or historical significance), Dawn of the Dead, I Am Legend (original in LA, remake in NYC), 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Day of the Dead, The Crazies, the Resident Evil series, how many movies have we all seen about this? Ironically the Living Dead series by Romero has many threads of commentary woven through it on social issues ranging from rascism to consumerism to the decay of civilization. Unfortunately, most of us aren’t getting his “joke”…
So, by all means, check out the CDC’s page on this gem, and as David Icke says, HUMAN RACE, GET OFF YOUR KNEES!
